Terms of Service
Last updated: April 10, 2026
These terms govern your use of Seedwork (“the Service”), operated by Seedwork (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Service description
Seedwork is a customer relationship management (CRM) platform designed for Canadian nonprofits. It provides tools for contact management, membership tracking, donation processing, CRA tax receipt generation, email outreach, and automation workflows. The Service is provided as a hosted web application accessible at seedwork.ca.
Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
If you create an account on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
You must notify us immediately at contact@seedwork.ca if you become aware of any unauthorized access to your account.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- •Use the Service for any illegal activity or to violate any applicable laws
- •Send unsolicited bulk emails (spam) through the Service
- •Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
- •Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- •Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Payment terms
Seedwork offers a 3-month introductory period at $1/month. After the intro period, your selected plan price applies automatically. Current plan prices are listed on our pricing page.
All payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.
We do not take a commission on donations processed through the Service. The only transaction fee is Stripe's standard processing fee, which goes directly to Stripe.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. There are no contracts or cancellation fees.
Upon cancellation, your account remains active until the end of your current billing period. After that, you will lose access to the dashboard and your data will be retained for 30 days in case you change your mind. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access for the remainder of that month.
Data ownership
Your organization owns all data you enter into Seedwork — contacts, donations, memberships, emails, and any other content. Seedwork acts as a data processor on your behalf, not the data owner.
We will not access, use, or share your data except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with the law, or as described in our Privacy Policy.
You can export your contacts as CSV at any time. For a full data export, contact us at contact@seedwork.ca.
Limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make reasonable efforts to ensure the Service is reliable and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the Service will be free of errors.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seedwork shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
